Kelley Systems Group Fractional Technology Leadership

Engagements

Ownership, priced as ownership.

Engagements run on a flat monthly retainer. Each tier includes everything in the one before it. Move up or down a tier at any time with 30 days' notice.

Platform Care

Roughly 5 hours per month

For teams where the system works but nobody owns it.

  • Platform administration and configuration changes
  • Enhancements and fixes as the business shifts
  • Sandbox build and controlled release to production
  • Data hygiene and system health checks
Most common

Salesforce Platform Manager

Ongoing platform ownership

For companies where the platform has outgrown ticket-taking.

Everything in Care, plus

  • A platform roadmap that is owned and maintained
  • Standing reviews with each department that uses the system
  • Proactive automation: Flows, Apex, integrations
  • Data governance and reporting design
  • Adoption, enablement, and user training

Fractional Technology Director

Ongoing technology leadership

For companies that need a technology leader, not a full-time one. Roughly a quarter the cost of the hire.

Everything above, plus

  • Technology strategy and roadmap across the business
  • Systems architecture, integration, and consolidation
  • Vendor evaluation, contracts, and renewals
  • Security and risk posture
  • AI adoption, practically applied
  • Direct advisory to the CEO or COO
Considering a hire instead?

If you were about to post a job description for a Salesforce administrator, that is a reasonable instinct and sometimes the right one. Here is the honest comparison, including the situations where I would tell you to make the hire.

Fees

Each tier is a flat monthly retainer, confirmed in writing before any work begins. I will give you the figure in our first conversation. Which tier actually fits depends on your environment, and quoting a number before I understand it would not be useful to either of us.

Technology Assessment

Scoped engagement  ·  2 to 4 weeks

A written review of your systems, data, integrations, risks, and technology spend, with a prioritized roadmap and cost estimates. Yours to keep whether or not we continue, and it credits toward your first month on any retainer.

How the fee is set

Timeline and fee depend on the size of your environment and how quickly we can get time with your people, since most of the work is conversations with the teams who actually use the systems. I confirm the fee in writing before any work begins.

A flat monthly retainer

Care is sized around a small block of hours. Manager and Director are priced on ownership, not a timesheet. You are buying someone who is accountable for the outcome, not a block of time to spend down.

Beyond the retainer

Projects outside the scope of the retainer are scoped and quoted as a fixed fee, agreed in writing before any work begins. No surprise invoices.

Getting started

Start with an assessment, or step into any tier directly. Most engagements begin with a thirty minute conversation and a written proposal within the week.

Capacity

This is a deliberately small practice, built on long relationships rather than volume. Current clients have been with me about four years. Capacity is open for one or two more engagements, and the goal is a handful of relationships I can actually own.
